A little about me...
Hi! I'm Dareian
I'm a mother, a wife, a photographer, as well as a birth & postpartum doula. Photography has been a passion of mine since I can remember, and having a daughter of my own introduced me to my passion for birth work. I have always loved babies & children, as well as anything to do with helping people- one of my love languages is Acts of Service!
If I'm not behind the lens, or supporting parents in welcoming their baby earth side, you can find me home bound, snuggling with my two cats, playing blocks with my daughter, or catching up on Grey's Anatomy with my hubby. I'm so excited that you're here & wanting to create authentic memories together, or finding your birth/postpartum support system!
My Philosophy
Here’s what I believe - you weren’t meant to do this alone. As a Calgary birth & postpartum doula + lifestyle photographer, my role isn’t just to show up with a camera or a checklist. It’s to be a steady presence in a season that can feel overwhelming, vulnerable, and really tender.
I believe support should feel natural, not clinical. I believe you deserve to be cared for just as much as your baby. And I believe the moments you’ll want to remember most are the ones you didn’t even realize were happening. So I’ll be there - whether that looks like grounding you through contractions, resetting your space postpartum, or quietly documenting your baby curled into you in the morning light. You don’t need to perform for me. You just get to be in it.
